Hey Everyone!

Wow! I Just got back from 5 days of Boot Camp in Gainesville, Georgia. During this time, I got to meet and spend time with my squad, learn from some great leaders, and deepen my relationship with the Lord. These past few days have been oh so sweet. This blog is part one about boot camp because there are so many things I want to tell you about.

During boot camp, I learned what it was like to truly rest in the presence of the Spirit, laugh in the presence of good company, and freely worship in the presence of a group of young adults on fire for Christ. I truly am in awe of these past 5 days and all the Lord has taught me already.

Boot camp is just the beginning of what the Lord is doing in and through Gap H. He has beautifully orchestrated the stories, the testimonies, and the gifts of each and every person on H squad. He’s creating a community where anyone is welcome. He’s perfectly unifying us as His church, with Him at the very center. These people are truly a blessing, an answer to prayer. They love Jesus so well. They desire to grow in intimacy with Him, and they strive to be a community of biblical love.

Pretty much every night at worship we sang the song “weapons” written by the band at Adventures in Missions. As I was writing this blog, I was listening to this song. The bridge says this:

“No matter where we are we won’t stop singing

With every breath in our lungs we’ll shout it out

No matter where we are we won’t stop singing

That you are Lord, you are Lord.”

This is one of my many prayers for H squad. I pray that no matter where we are, what we’re doing, or how we’re feeling, we keep on praising the Lord, because He is infinitely deserving of our worship, our praise, and our lives.

One day, during some of our time together as a squad, our awesome squad mentor, Kyndal, brought out a big piece of paper. All of us spent time in prayer asking the Lord what he was speaking about our squad and we got to write them on this paper. As you can see, The paper is completely full. Just look at all those things that the Lord spoke about H church. I can’t wait to grow and learn in all of these things with my squad, and become more and more like the body of Christ He is calling us to be.

This week was just a small glimpse into the future. I cannot wait until we are all back together growing in the Lord and worshipping together. I love my new family, and they truly do feel like home. Thanks for following along in my journey and I can’t wait to tell you even more about how Jesus works in my life and in the lives of my squadmates.

All the Love,

Haley Kretz
